Martha’s Monday

The Women of the Bible Speak and so can we as faithful female followers of Jesus. Referencing Shannon Bream’s recent book, the wisdom and experience of 16 Biblical women offers participants lessons in faithful living applicable for today. As the book sleeve reads, “From the shepherdesses of ancient Israel who helped raise the future leaders of the people of God, to the courageous early Christians, the women of the Bible are some of the most reliable and inspiring characters in the story of salvation. In their lives we can see common struggles to resist bitterness, despair, and pride, and to instead find their true selves in faith, hope and love. In studying these heroes of the faith, we can find wisdom and warnings for how to better navigate our own faith journeys.”

If interested, please join Pastor Wynemah Hinlicky for mutual support and encouragement the third Monday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. This month we will be finishing our book with Chapter Jesus and the Women - Women Accused and Women in Need. We will gather at 7:00pm at Christ the King on Monday, June 19th.

As in the past, we will alternate sites between CTK and St. Thomas Lutheran Church (17700 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay). In addition, we ask that you RSVP Roberta Stokes at rstokes5@yahoo.com as well as indicate your desire to purchase a book. Suggested price is $15.00.

Bible Study takes place on Thursdays in the fellowship hall, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
