"Let us therefore make every effort to do what
leads to peace and to mutual edification."
Romans 14:19
At St. Thomas Lutheran Church, we believe that outreach is an important part of spiritual growth. We participate in several local, national, and international projects on a regular basis.
Food Pantry:
On the first Sunday of every month, we collect food for Lutheran Services who then distribute the food locally to those in need. We also celebrate holidays with the children who benefit from the Lutheran Services programs. www.lsfnet.org
Camillus House Casserole Project:
We prepare casseroles to be served at Camillus House, a local homeless shelter on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. For more information on Camillus House -www.camillushouse.org
Feed the Homeless:
On the fourth Sunday of every month, we meet after the service and prepare sandwiches which are then given to homeless in downtown Miami. We also collect toiletry items on a regular basis.
Miami Bridge:
We support the Miami Bridge whose mission is to promote positive youth development, and strengthen and support families to enable children to actualize their full potential to become productive community members. www.miamibridge.org
Habitat for Humanity:
Habitat for Humanity is a Christian Ministry whose purpose is to build homes and communities in partnership with low-income families within Greater Miami. In order to accomplish its mission, Habitat partners with companies, individuals and churches like St. Thomas Lutheran.www.miamihabitat.org
